WIN’s mission is to promote the growth and development of African American women in metropolitan Detroit. WIN’s work is achieved through five task groups: education, economics, political, power, and networking. Some of our initiatives include seminars/workshops, Scholarship fund, Project Real (Research, Education, and Leadership), town halls, community health fairs and a youth mentoring program. WIN’s donation to the Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation (NETRF) established the Aretha Franklin Fund for Neuroendocrine Tumor Research. Our partnership with several charitable organizations helps us fulfil our mission.
