Danielle D. Hughes
Founder and CEO, Elite Global Vending

Danielle’s company is the leading vending and consulting service in metro Detroit. Her company offers vending services to small businesses and corporations across Southeast Michigan. In 2021 her company was named ‘Business of the Month in Michigan’s 35th District. April 2021 Elite Global University was introduced, an online membership community that specializes in introducing women of color to investing. One hundred fifty plus people of color have successfully completed their programming with 85% being women. Her Philosophy is “never ask God to order your steps if you refuse to move your feet.”

Doreen Hunter
ASID-MI President; Green AP, IIDA & Owner -HDESIGNS Group, LLC

She joined the ASID MI chapter in 2017 and immediately became Financial Director. Now she is the Chapter’s first Black President. Doreen has 30-plus years as an interior designer. Along with hundreds of hours in CEUs as required by the ASID (SOCIETY). After high school Doreen when straight to college, Central Michigan University, where she earned her B. A. in interior design, minor in business, and later, she acquired a certification in paralegal study. Doreen worked briefly in the home furnishings and commercial industry before launching her design firm. In August of 1996. in Downtown Detroit for six consecutive years, until she moved back to the home office she is today. Doreen was born in Detroit, Michigan, and partially grew up on the West side until her family moved to the new urban renewal area East Lafayette. Doreen shares her love for Interior design with her husband and two beautiful children. Her philosophy in life is to Slow down, Enjoy Life and Forgive often.

Debra Ann Jones
Founder, Director of Sunshine Always Brighter with a 2nd Chance

Debra followed her vision and started her company to help teen moms to overcome circumstances she endured as a teen mom. She oversees the daily operations of the program and enjoys watching her vision become a reality and changing the lives of teen moms. Her philosophy is God can do only for you, what He can do through you, so give him something to work with.

Edna Andrews Rose, PhD, MSW, RN-PMH-BC
Minority Outreach, Recruitment, and Education Specialist at the University of MI Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (MADRC)

Dr. Rose serves as the Minority Outreach, Recruitment, and Education Specialist at MADRC since 2008. She has worked in the Metro-Detroit area to educate churches, schools, sororities families and fraternities on the necessity of adding to the body of knowledge by joining research projects related to cognitive impairment/dementia. She has increased minority participation at MADRC from 0 African Americans to over 400 participants in the last 14 years. She has spoken in more than 100 African American churches in the Metro Detroit area on the Disproportionately Higher Incidence of Alzheimer’s Disease in the African American population. Her philosophy for living is “Live well, love life and help others along the way.”

Sandra “Sande” Rose
Owner, Coming up Roses -Publishing and Management Company

Co-Owner of WVTC Radio Network, Inc. – 2022 Stellar Award Winner – Internet Radio Station of the Year) Owner – WVTC Radio Detroit, LLC The Administrator and Asst. Chapter Representative for the Detroit Chapter of the Gospel Music Workshop of America, Inc. (GMWA). A member of the national GMWA faculty, facilitating national classes, “Parliamentary Procedure: Conducting A Meeting” and “The History of the G.M.W.A”. In 1992 Sandra – Joined Gamma Phi Delta Sorority of Lewis College (formerly Michigan’s only HBCU. A native Detroiter, Sandra grew up in Prayer Tabernacle Church under the pastorate of Rev. Charles A. Craig, II and then Rev. David K. Craig. Her musical awareness was realized early, and she began directing the choir at the request of Minister Thomas Whitfield. She studied piano under Rev. Charles H. Nicks, Jr. and was active musically while attending school in the Highland Park School System. Sandra accolades have shown her commitment in Christ and community. Sandra has provided background vocals on gospel recordings; she has served as: Choir Coordinator and artist on GMWA Detroit Chapter’s Detroit Remembers Volumes 1 & 2; Sandra served as Director for choirs.

Zell Randle
Founder and CEO of Living Brave TBC

Living Brave, TBC is a 501c3 Non-profit organization. Zell is a 2x Breast cancer and 2x stroke survivor. Her company has led in serving 25+ breast cancer fighters/survivors. Zell is also the owner of Randle’s T-Shirts Company, an American custom screen-printing service and T-shirt e-commerce clothing store. Her philosophy is “each one reach one teach one.” It is important to her that when a person is blessed after a hardship in their lives, they should reach out to help others who are in need of the support they were blessed to receive.
